Although its significance as an aspect of garden design is often overlooked, fencing is an essential part of both the aesthetics and useability of your garden. Garden fencing will differ between the front and back of properties, with higher and more strong wooden fencing usually being installed in the rear garden, while the front of the property typically features smaller and more ornamental fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to feature a low height and large gaps between the wooden slats. Also, it is often painted to enhance its ornamental effect.
Fencing in the back garden is commonly used for privacy and to maintain the boundaries of a garden, as well as to keep household pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. For this reason, these varieties of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats with no spaces in between. Because of the extra height, these fences commonly have concrete footings laid between each panel to provide strength and stopping the fence from blowing over or being damaged in bad weather.
Garden fencing sections are generally made of wood. The posts in between the sections are produced from either timber, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be made from heavily recycled and environmentally friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

The London Borough of Harrow is a London borough of north-west London, England. It borders Hertfordshire to the north and other London boroughs, such as Hillingdon to the west, Ealing to the south, Brent to the south-east and Barnet towards the east. The local authority is Harrow London Borough Council.
Harrow Urban District was formed in 1934 as an urban district of Middlesex by the Middlesex Review Order 1934, as a merger of the former location of Harrow on the Hill Urban District, Hendon Rural District and Wealdstone Urban District. The urban district gained the status of municipal borough on 4th May 1954 and the urban district council became Harrow Borough Council. The 50th anniversary of the incorporation as a borough was celebrated in April 2004, which included a stop by by Queen Elizabeth II. In 1965, the municipal borough was abolished and its former area was transferred to Greater London from Middlesex under the London Government Act 1963 to establish the London Borough of Harrow. It’s uniquely the only London borough to replicate exactly the unchanged boundaries of a single former district. This was most likely because its population was big adequate. The borough covers an overall area of 19.49 square miles.
As recorded in population estimates from the middle of 2014, it has a permanent population of about 246011 people. Its site on and near the greenbelt and convenience to central London makes Harrow a very good place to live not simply for families but affluent singles also. Increasing house prices in all London areas have helped to see a large increase in home redevelopment of its current Edwardian and 1920s to 1940s housing.
