Although its value as an element of garden design is sometimes disregarded, fencing is an essential part of both the appearance and functionality of your garden. Garden fencing tends to differ between the front and rear of properties, with taller and more strong wood fencing typically being installed in the rear garden, while the front of the home usually employs smaller and more attractive fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to have a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. It is also often painted to improve its ornamental effect.
Fencing in the back garden is generally used for privacy and to preserve the borders of a garden, as well as to keep pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Due to this, these varieties of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats with no gaps in between. Due to the extra height, these fences usually have concrete footings laid between each panel to offer strength which will help prevent the fence from blowing over or being broken in poor weather.
Garden fencing sections are generally made of wood. The posts in between the panels are produced from either timber, stone, or concrete. Recently, fence panels have started to be manufactured from heavily recycled and environmentally friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Littleborough is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It lies in the upper Roch Valley by the foothills of the South Pennines, 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Rochdale and 12.6 miles (20.3 km) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. In 2001, Littleborough and its surrounding suburban areas of Calderbrook, Shore and Smithy Bridge were recorded as having a population of 13,807. When cotton was launched as a base to make textiles, Littleborough experienced an increase of families, generally from the neighbouring county, the West Riding of Yorkshire. Upscale homes and estates were developed on the outskirts of the town. Coal mining, engineering ventures and increasingly sizeable textile mills resulted in Littleborough’s population expansion and urbanisation, which produced its status as a mill town. During the course of the mid-20th century, imports of more affordable foreign items contributed to the gradual deindustrialisation of Littleborough, but the commercial diversity of the town helped it to stave off the developing economic depression, which was experienced elsewhere in North West England. Littleborough’s stone-built town centre is designated as a Conservation Area for its special architectural qualities. The town also boasts excellent dining and leisure facilities, with Littleborough Rugby Union Football Club being elected ‘Club of the Year’ at National Ruby Football Awards. For all of your house upgrades, make certain to make use of reliable professionals in Littleborough to make certain of quality.
