Wooden decking is an increasingly fashionable choice for creating outdoor seating areas in gardens. Because of the natural beauty of wood, they can be very elegant areas which can be used year round by installing outside heating and lighting. Wooden decking is usually installed in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. Wooden decking can come in virtually any size or shape to fit any area. Curved designs or large areas connected by pathways can create an attractive effect.
Wooden decking is fairly quick to install and causes little disruption, especially in comparison to alternate options like patio or paving. It can even be installed over the top of an existing patio. It is crucial however to make certain that your wooden decking is structurally sound and able to take the weight of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking.
There is a array of varieties of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Often decking is constructed from hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability requirements. As hardwood decking will need maintenance, which commonly includes annual cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods are becoming more popular for use in wooden decking because they are more robust and require much less maintenance.

Littleborough is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It is situated in the upper Roch Valley by the foothills of the South Pennines, 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) northeast of Rochdale and 12.6 miles (20.3 kilometres) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. In 2001, Littleborough and its surrounding suburbs of Calderbrook, Shore and Smithy Bridge were noted as having a population of 13,807. When cotton was introduced as a base to make textiles, Littleborough experienced an influx of families, predominately from the neighbouring county, the West Riding of Yorkshire. Upscale houses and estates were established on the outskirts of the town. Coal mining, engineering ventures and progressively sizeable textile mills added to Littleborough’s population growth and urbanisation, which caused its status as a mill town. Through the mid-20th century, imports of cheaper foreign products contributed towards the gradual deindustrialisation of Littleborough, but the business diversity of the town enabled it to keep off the occurring economic depression, which was witnessed elsewhere in North West England. Littleborough’s stone-built town centre is designated as a Conservation Area for its special architectural qualities. The town also boasts excellent dining and leisure facilities, with Littleborough Rugby Union Football Club being elected ‘Club of the Year’ at National Ruby Football Awards. For all of your home upgrades, make sure to make usage of credible experts in Littleborough to make certain of quality.
