Patios continue to be an extremely successful method of creating functional outdoor spaces that you can use for entertaining, dining, or just to enhance the beauty of your garden. Patios are created from block or slab paving and are available in a large assortment of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns which have a consistent effect. Patios are extremely durable and demand almost no maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to maintain the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this brings about a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a huge range of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to adding a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is vital to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure accurately to be sure that any furniture fits the intended space. Specialist patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly satisfies your requirements and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.

Battersea is a residential district of south London in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It’s 2.9 miles south west of Charing Cross. The district has one of southwest London’s main parks, Battersea Park.
In 2001, Battersea had a population of 75,651, but by 2011 the number stood at 73,345, noting a slight reduction. There’s a big area of public housing estates constructed during the mid-20th century, virtually all situated north of the main railway lines from Fairfield to Queenstown. There are 4 substantially significant estates; Surrey Lane Estate to the north, Doddington and Rollo Estate, Patmore Estate towards the east and also the Winstanley Estate, that is recognised for being the birthplace of the garage collective So Solid Crew.
You will find numerous notable landmarks in Battersea, one of which is the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Prior to that, the Temporary Home for Lost and Starving Dogs was based in Battersea just after moving from Holloway in 1871. Other landmarks contain the New Covent Garden Market, a major vegetable and fruit wholesale market place, plus the now disused Battersea Power Station which was constructed between 1929 and 1939. There have already been many redevelopment projects since the 1980s to transform the station into an entertainment and commercial complex, but at this point all attempts failed.
