Landscaping is a term which means modifying the visible features of land, and can as a result involve a wide range of gardening tasks, from simple DIY jobs to full scale design and build landscaping solutions. Landscaping is generally split into two different areas. Soft landscaping refers to modifications to plants, trees and shrubs, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group alterations to terrain such as installing patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also include maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are often performed along with larger scale changes to the garden itself.
Professional landscaping companies will be able to conduct a survey of your garden and recommend to you the most suitable transformations to increase the use of your space. If you have always desired an outdoor patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water fountain, a landscape company will carry out the design and build of these elements. Furthermore, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will conduct regular upkeep on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works will make your garden and the other areas around your property such as your driveway a really functional and attractive space that you can enjoy for many years to come.

Hexham is a market town and civil parish in the English county of Northumberland. It is found south of the River Tyne, and was the administrative centre for the Tynedale area from 1974 to 2009. Smaller towns and villages neighboring Hexham consist of Corbridge, Riding Mill, Stocksfield and Wylam to the east, Acomb and Bellingham to the north, Allendale to the south and Haydon Bridge, Bardon Mill and Haltwhistle towards the west. Newcastle upon Tyne is nearly 25 miles (40 kilometres) to the east. With mention to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of approximately 11829. Hexham’s architectural landscape is headed by Hexham Abbey. The existing church mainly dates from approximately 1170, built in the Early English Gothic style of architecture. The choir, north and south transepts and the cloisters, where canons studied and meditated, date from this period. The east end was rebuilt in 1860. The abbey stands at the west side of the market place, which is home to the Shambles, a Grade II covered market constructed in 1766 by Sir Walter Blackett. At the east end of the market place is the Moot Hall, a 15th-century gatehouse that was part of the town’s defences. The Moot Hall is a Grade I listed building, and was employed as a court house till 1838. The Moot Hall now houses the Council offices of the Museums Department and the ground floor is an art gallery ready for hire. Hexham won the Town award in the 2005 Britain in Bloom awards. In the same year Hexham was also named ‘England’s Favourite Market Town’ by the magazine ‘Country Life’.
