Although its value as an aspect of garden design is sometimes neglected, fencing is an integral part of both the aesthetics and useability of your garden. Garden fencing tends to differ between the front and rear of properties, with higher and more substantial wooden fencing usually being installed in the rear garden, while the front of the house typically utilises smaller sized and more decorative fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to feature a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. Also, it is often coloured to improve its ornamental effect.
Fencing in the back garden is generally used for privacy and to protect the boundaries of a garden, as well as to keep household pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Because of this, these styles of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats without gaps in between. Because of the increased height, these fences typically have concrete footings laid in between each panel to provide stability preventing the fence from blowing over or being ruined in bad weather.
Garden fencing panels are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the sections are produced from either timber, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be constructed from heavily recycled and environmentally friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Carrbridge is a town in Badenoch and Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands. It exists off the A9 on the A938, west of Skye of Curr, southeast of Tomatin, near Bogroy. It has the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands and the nearby old want woodland contains the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. Carrbridge is about 10 km (6 mi) north of Aviemore as well as forms an entrance to the Cairngorms National Forest. It was a very early centre for winter sports in Scotland. In the 2001 census the village had a population of 708 individuals, with the majority employed in tourist. Till the 1980s bypass was constructed, the A9 ran straight through the town. Carrbridge is offered by Carrbridge railway station on the Highland Main Line. Local argument still surges relating to the name Carrbridge itself, with some liking to see it hyphenated to Carr-bridge. Words “Carr” has nothing to do with motorised transport however is stemmed from the Old Norse word for boggy area.
