Patios continue to be an extremely widely used way of creating practical outdoor spaces which you can use for socialising, dining, or simply to enhance the beauty of your garden. Patios are built from block or slab paving and can come in a huge range of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are very hard wearing and demand very little maintenance, only periodic cleaning to protect the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are generally installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this brings about a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a huge assortment of colours and types of stone. Consider including a different colour and style of stone to either inlay an elegant design or as edging to accentuate the shape of your patio. It is important to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Professional patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly meets your requirements and creates an outdoor area that is practical as well as beautiful.
