Landscaping is a term which means changing the visible features of land, and can consequently refer to many gardening tasks, from simple DIY jobs to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is usually divided into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to adjustments to plants, trees and bushes, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group adjustments to terrain such as the installation of patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also incorporate maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are often performed together with larger scale adjustments to the garden itself. Expert landscaping experts can conduct a survey of your garden and give you advice on the ideal transformations to increase the use of your space. If you have always wanted a patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water fountain, a landscape company will manage the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will undertake routine maintenance on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works will make your garden and the other areas around your property such as your driveway a really functional and attractive space that you can enjoy for many years to come.
