Patios continue to be an extremely popular method of creating functional outdoor spaces which you can use for socialising, dining, or simply to enhance the beauty of your garden. Patios are constructed from block or slab paving and can come in a huge range of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns which have a consistent effect. Patios are very durable and need almost no maintenance, only periodic cleaning to maintain the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this causes a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide selection of colours and types of stone. Consider using a different colour and type of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to highlight the shape of your patio. It is critical to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure accurately to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Expert patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly fulfills your needs and creates an outdoor area that is practical as well as beautiful.
