Patios remain an extremely widely used way of creating functional outdoor spaces that you can use for socialising, dining, or simply to enhance the attractiveness of your garden. Patios are created from block or slab paving and are available in an enormous array of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns which have a consistent effect. Patios are incredibly durable and need hardly any maintenance, only occasional cleaning to protect the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this creates a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide assortment of colours and types of stone. Consider including a different colour and style of stone to either inlay an elegant design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is vital to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure precisely to ensure that any furniture fits the intended space. Specialist patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly meets your needs and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.

Berwick-upon-Tweed is a town in the county of Northumberland. It is the northernmost town in England. It is positioned 2.5 miles (4 kilometres) south of the Scottish border, at the mouth of the River Tweed, on the east coast of the United Kingdom. It is 56 miles (90 kilometres) south east of Edinburgh, 65 miles (105 kilometres) north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 345 miles (555 km) north of London. The 2011 United Kingdom Census recorded Berwick’s population as 12,043. A civil parish and town council were created during 2008. The origins of Berwick are as an Anglo-Saxon settlement during the period of the Kingdom of Northumbria, which was annexed by England during the 10th century. The area was, for more than four hundred years, central to historical border wars between the Kingdoms of England and Scotland, and several occasions possession of Berwick was swapped between the two kingdoms. The final time it changed hands was when England retook it in 1482. Berwick remains a traditional market town and also has some notable architectural features, for example its medieval town walls, Elizabethan ramparts and Britain’s oldest barracks buildings. Slightly more than 60% of the population is employed in the service sector, such as shops, hotels and catering, financial services and most government activity, including health care. About 13% is in manufacturing, 10% in agriculture, and 8 per cent in building. Some existing and recent Berwick economic activities include salmon fishing, shipbuilding, engineering, sawmilling, fertilizer production, malting and the manufacturing of tweed and hosiery. For all of your home improvements, be sure that you choose vetted professionals in Berwick-upon-Tweed to make sure that you get the top quality service.
