Landscaping is a term which means modifying the visible features of land, and can consequently refer to many gardening tasks, from simple DIY projects to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is normally separated into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to modifications to plants, trees and shrubs, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group transformations to terrain like installing patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also incorporate maintenance jobs such as mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are generally performed alongside larger scale improvements to the garden itself.
Specialist landscaping companies will perform a survey of your garden and inform you of the ideal changes to increase the use of your space. If you have always desired a patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water fountain, a landscape company will undertake the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also provide an aftercare service, where they will perform regular maintenance on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works can make your garden and the other areas around your property such as your driveway a truly useful and attractive space that you can enjoy for many years to come.

Kenley is a district in the south of the London Borough of Croydon (in times past in Surrey). Kenley is positioned 13 miles south of Charing Cross. Significant portions of Kenley lie within the Metropolitan Green Belt. Specifically, the south of Kenley is dominated by the open green spaces of Kenley Common and Kenley Aerodrome. The 2011 census noted Kenley having a population of 14,966. For centuries, Kenley became part of Coulsdon Manor which covered all of the area and was predominantly farm land, with a couple of large houses and their estates. The official opening of the train on 4 August 1856 completely transformed Kenley. The new railway prompted urban growth. By the end of the Victorian era, Kenley had adopted its own identity. Kenley Common constitutes fifty-six hectares of green open space surrounding an one-time Battle of Britain airfield. It is a mixture of chalk grassland and ancient woodland set within gently rolling hills. Blessed with fine views across the Caterham valley and the North Downs beyond, visitors find it difficult to think that the centre of London is just 14 miles to the north. One of Kenley’s landmark buildings is the Memorial Hall. It was opened in 1922 to remember those who offered their lives in World War I. It was later extended and re-opened by Group Captain Douglas Bader in 1975. Hammond Innes’ book Attack Alarm was based on his experiences as a Royal Artillery anti-aircraft gunner at RAF Kenley through the Battle of Britain. It includes graphic descriptions of the station and attacks on it in 1940. English Heritage identified Kenley as the “most comprehensive fighter airfield connected with the Battle of Britain to have survived”. For all of your home remodelings, make certain to identify trustworthy contractors in Kenley to make certain of quality.
