Landscaping is a term which means altering the visible features of land, and can therefore include numerous gardening tasks, from simple DIY jobs to full scale design and build landscaping solutions. Landscaping is generally split into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to modifications to plants, trees and shrubs, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group transformations to terrain like the installation of patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also involve maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are usually performed along with larger scale transformations to the garden itself. Specialist landscaping experts will conduct a survey of your garden and suggest for you the ideal adjustments to maximise the use of your space. If you have always desired an outdoor patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water feature, a landscape company will undertake the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will carry out regular maintenance on your garden to ensure its new features remain in perfect condition. Landscaping works can make your garden and the other areas around your home such as your driveway a really practical and beautiful space that you can enjoy for many years to come.
