Landscaping is a term that means transforming the visible features of land, and can therefore refer to a number of gardening tasks, from simple DIY jobs to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is generally split into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to modifications to plants, trees and shrubs, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group alterations to terrain such as the installation of patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also involve maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are usually performed alongside larger scale alterations to the garden itself.
Specialist landscaping experts will conduct a survey of your garden and recommend to you the ideal changes to increase the use of your space. If you have always wanted a patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water feature, a landscape company will manage the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also provide an aftercare service, where they will undertake regular upkeep on your garden to ensure its new features remain in perfect condition. Landscaping works can make your garden and the other areas around your house such as your driveway a really useful and stylish space that you can enjoy for many years to come.
