Paving is a popular way of designing bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Strong and durable, paving offers an excellent way of providing spaces for eating or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance substitute for lawn. Paving is also ideal for providing access to different regions of your garden, and is also perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn.
Garden paving comes in a number of styles and types of stone. Whether you pick marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there is bound to be a kind of stone to fit your needs. Garden paving may also be found in vitrified tile, which is a kind of very resilient porcelain tile suitable for outdoor use. Whenever choosing your paving options, make sure that you speak to several companies and manufacturers to make sure that you choose the perfect style for your garden. Also consider utilising a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that accentuates your space and draws focus on any features you want to showcase.
Laying paving is a relatively easy project, but it does require a base to be laid that is level and able to support the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you want to have on top of the paving.

Bellingham is an area in south east London, in the London Borough of Lewisham. Its neighbouring districts are Catford, Downham and Sydenham. The Ravensbourne River runs through the centre of Bellingham, also to the west and east it is bordered by railway lines running south from Catford.
The name Bellingham means âthe water-meadow belonging to Beora’s people’, and was the name of the medieval manor in the region. The name was preserved by the farm in the area, Bellingham Railway Station and the Bellingham Estate. Various other historical names have already been preserved by the street titles of the estate, which are linked with King Alfred, who was simply thought to have already been the lord of the manor of Lewisham, and were extracted from the true names of mills, houses and fields in the certain region.
Bellingham was mainly farmland before Bellingham Estate was built, between 1920 and 1923. London Town Council built about 2600 houses and flats in this time. Bellingham Estate was one of many huge estates built by London City Council following the First World War to assist with slum clearance and reduce overcrowding. As there was lots of land available most of the dwellings built were two-story homes, and there was plenty of green, open space.
Today, Bellingham is a localised city centre. Its traditional is Randlesdown Road, which includes a supermarket, a fitness center, hairdressers and multiple restaurants and food outlets. It also has a sixth form college, and a church and a library. Bellingham boasts many popular recent and present residents, like the singer/song-writer Kate Bush, the former Labour Prime Minister James Callaghan, and the footballer Ian Wright.
