Patios remain a very widely used way of creating functional outdoor spaces which can be used for entertaining, dining, or just to enhance the attractiveness of your garden. Patios are created from block or slab paving and can come in a large assortment of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are incredibly hard wearing and need hardly any maintenance, only occasional cleaning to protect the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are generally installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this creates a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide assortment of colours and types of stone. Consider introducing a different colour and type of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is essential to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Experienced patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly meets your needs and creates an outdoor area that is useful as well as beautiful.

The town offers a small community medical facility, small fire station, police and ambulance stations, several churches, with the largest being All Saints’ Parish Church, whose bells were renewed for the millennium, and a relatively small high street. There is also an area of parkland close to the parish church along the side of the stream, Driffield Beck, that runs roughly parallel to the high street.
