Patios remain an extremely popular method of creating practical outdoor spaces that you can use for entertaining, dining, or simply to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are constructed from block or slab paving and are available in an enormous assortment of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns which have a consistent effect. Patios are incredibly hard wearing and require very little maintenance, only periodic cleaning to protect the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this causes a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a huge variety of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to using a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay a stylish design or as edging to emphasise the shape of your patio. It is vital to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Professional patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly fulfills your requirements and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.
