Patios continue to be an extremely popular way of creating practical outdoor spaces which can be used for socialising, dining, or simply to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are built from block or slab paving and are available in a large range of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are very durable and need very little maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to preserve the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are often installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this creates a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces. Patios come in a wide assortment of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to introducing a different colour and type of stone to either inlay an elegant design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is critical to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure accurately to ensure that any furniture fits the intended space. Experienced patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly fulfills your requirements and creates an outdoor area that is useful as well as beautiful.
