Paving is a common way of providing bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Strong and resilient, paving offers an excellent way of providing spaces for eating or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance replacement for grass. Paving is also great for providing access to different regions of your garden, and is perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn.
Garden paving is available in a variety of designs and types of stone. Whether you select marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there will be a kind of stone to suit your requirements. Garden paving can even be found in vitrified tile, which is a type of very durable porcelain tile suitable for outdoor use. When choosing your paving options, make sure to speak to a number of companies and manufacturers to make sure that you select the perfect style for your garden. Also consider adding a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that accentuates your space and attracts attention to any features you want to highlight.
Laying paving is a relatively easy project, but it will require a foundation to be laid that is level and capable of supporting the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you want to have on top of the paving.

Cottingham is a sizeable village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It lies to the northwest of the city of Kingston upon Hull, and it is 4.5 miles from the city centre. Home to a population of 17164, in accordance with the 2011 Census, Cottingham is thought to be one of the biggest villages in England. Traditionally, Cottingham was acknowledged primarily for its springs, which formed a riverlet through the village and drove a mill in the village. The extraction of water on a level that was barely sustainable after the 1930s is believed to be the reason for the disappearance of the springs from the village. There are 2 primary shopping streets, Hallgate and King Street, in the village. They are located by the medieval church, the council offices, library and the civic hall. Each Thursday, the village holds a market on Market Green. These locations are all a part of a sanctuary, as defined by the 1990 Planning Act. The village is also the home of a variety of significant buildings. The University of Hull uses the village for one of its lodging dorms. This consists of the Lawns, Thwaite Hall and Needler’s Hall, both of which are structures dating back to the late 18th century that have been expanded to house the trainee population. Other big houses include Southwood Hall, Newgate House, Eastgate House and Westfield House. The majority of Cottingham’s houses are characterised by Victorian balconies integrated in the second half of the 19th century and interwar and postwar housing. A several pubs are in Cottingham, consisting of the Blue Bell and the Duke of Cumberland on the market square.
