Although its importance as an element of garden design is often ignored, fencing is a key part of both the aesthetics and practicality of your garden. Garden fencing is likely to differ between the front and back of properties, with higher and more tough wooden fencing usually being placed in the rear garden, while the front of the home typically makes use of smaller sized and more attractive fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to have a low height and large gaps between the wooden slats. Also, it is often painted to enhance its decorative effect.
Fencing in the back garden is typically used for privacy and to protect the borders of a garden, as well as to keep domestic pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Due to this, these sorts of fences are about 6 feet high and use wooden slats with no spaces in between. Because of the additional height, these fences commonly have concrete footings laid in between each panel to offer security and stop the fence from blowing over or being damaged in high winds.
Garden fencing sections are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the panels are made from either timber, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be manufactured from heavily recycled and eco friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Leatherhead is a town in Surrey, England on the right edge of the river Mole, and beside the contiguous built-up area of London. The town covers a total area of around 4.84 square miles. Its local district is Mole Valley. Records exist of the region from Anglo Saxon England. Just north-east of the midpoint of Surrey and at a junction of ancient north– south and east– west roads, parts of the town have actually been a focus for transport throughout its history. A major early spur to this was the building and construction of the bridge over the seasonally accessible River Mole in the early medieval period. Later the Swan Hotel provided 300 years of service to horse-drawn coaches. In the late 20th century the M25 motorway was built close by. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 11316 people. The town has re-developed periodically through varying fiscal needs and planning. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Mole Valley District Council made strategies to modernise the town, with a brand-new pedestrianised high street and a large one-way system. It has a combined theatre and cinema. Leatherhead’s lots of business facilities generate lunchtime demand and its eateries and theatre attract people from across Surrey. The undulating streetscape lends itself more to warm summertime nights. The theatre (see below) is a cinema and has art exhibits. The bypass streets to the town centre close and feature yearly in the London-Surrey cycle classic which is ranked by the world’s cycling federation. For all your home improvements, be sure to identify trusted contractors in Leatherhead to make certain of quality.
