Wooden decking is an increasingly fashionable option for providing outdoor seating areas in gardens. Due to the natural beauty of wood, they can be very elegant areas which can be used year round by adding additional heating and lighting. Wooden decking is frequently fitted in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a smooth transition between interior and exterior spaces. Wooden decking is available in any size or shape to match any area. Curved designs or large areas joined by pathways can produce a striking effect.
Wooden decking is reasonably quick to install and causes little disruption, particularly in comparison to alternate options like patio or paving. It could even be installed over the top of a pre-existing patio. It is vital however to make sure that your wooden decking is structurally sound and capable of taking the weight of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking.
There is a variety of types of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Commonly decking is made of hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability requirements. As hardwood decking will demand maintenance, which usually consists of annual cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods are becoming popular for use in wooden decking as they are more robust and require much less maintenance.

Beauly is a town in the Kilmorack Parish of the Scottish Area of Inverness, on the River Beauly, 10 miles (16 kilometres) west of Inverness by the Far North railway line. The town is currently within the Highland council location. The land around Beauly is productive – historically corn was expanded thoroughly and much more recently fruit has actually successfully been farmed. The community traditionally sold coal, wood, lime, grain and also fish. In January 2010, the Scottish government authorized questionable plans for a power line upgrade that will begin in Beauly and also end in Denny, Falkirk. The brand-new power line, part of a plan to carry electricity created by wind farms on the Western Isles, was called “the most significant grid infrastructure project in a generation” by Jim Mather MSP. The 220-kilometre (140 mi) line will contain a network of 600 pylons, ranging in elevation from 42 to 65 metres (138 to 213 feet). The very first part of the transmission circuit (Beauly to Fort Augustus) was activated in July 2013. The population of Beauly was 1,126 in 1991, 1,283 in 2001 as well as 1,365 in 2011.
