Garden sheds are a critical component of any practical garden space. They provide storage for heavy garden tools, as well as for other tools. A substantial shed could offer enough room for plant potting or a general workshop. Additionally, a sizeable shed could be used as an inside seating area. Garden sheds come in an enormous choice of sizes and can be specified to your particular requirements, providing you full control over the number and placement of windows, type, size and location of door, and design of roof.
Garden sheds typically come in one of three materials. Wooden sheds are the common style and can be integrated well into any garden creating a natural look, especially if the wood used for the shed is matched to bordering fences. Wooden sheds are still very popular, although they will need maintenance by retreating or staining the wood to preserve the life of the shed. Garden sheds are also manufactured from metal, which is very durable and therefore ideal for storage of tools and other equipment. Metal sheds also require very little maintenance. The final material for garden sheds is plastic, which in modern examples is much more durable than might be expected.
When considering a garden shed, it’s important to make sure that you pick one which will fit in your garden space. Garden sheds will need to be placed on a flat area, and will require a base to be built as a foundation. This base could be made from either concrete, paving, gravel or a floating timber base, but will have to be the right size for your shed and able to support the weight of your shed when loaded.

Duns (population 2,594) is a town in the Scottish Boundaries, Scotland. It was the county town of the historical region of Berwickshire. Duns has the largest shopping facilities in a distance of 15 miles (24 kilometres) and till 28 January 2015 housed the Berwickshire Sheriff Court, it no more has any major workplaces of the Scottish Borders Council, however just maintains a Registry Office. Because the very early 1990s Duns and its instant location have actually seen considerable housing development, some questionable. A development near the golf club when traveling to Longformacus simply outside Duns is one such example, as it was built on greenfield websites. Opposite the old Berwickshire High School a new modern Senior high school has been constructed to replace the mid-1950s structures in which the school was previously housed. The brand-new Secondary school opened up in February 2009. The old senior high school is currently being redeveloped right into a primary school, with the rugby and football club making use of the old playing fields.
