Paving is a popular way of creating bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Strong and tough, paving offers a great way of providing spaces for eating or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance alternative to grass. Paving is also great for providing access to different regions of your garden, and is perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn.
Garden paving is available in a wide range of styles and types of stone. Whether you pick marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there will be a kind of stone to suit your specifications. Garden paving can also be found in vitrified tile, which is a sort of very resilient porcelain tile ideal for outdoor use. When considering your paving options, make sure to speak to a variety of companies and manufacturers to make certain you select the perfect style for your garden. Also consider utilising a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that enhances your space and attracts attention to any features you want to showcase.
Laying paving is a relatively easy job, but it will require a foundation to be laid that is level and capable of supporting the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you would like to have on top of the paving.

Barnoldswick, usually known as Barlick, is a town and civil parish within the English county of Lancashire. Neighbouring the county border with North Yorkshire, it’s near to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town is next to Weets Hill, and Stock Beck, a tributary of the River Ribble, may be observed running through the town. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town boasts a permanent population of 11005. Barnoldswick and the neighbouring areas of West Craven were part of the historic West Riding of Yorkshire between 876, the earliest uncovered written reference to the Ridings of York in the Anglo Saxon Chronicles, and 1974, when local government was reorganised. West Riding County Council and Barnoldswick Urban District Council were abolished and replaced in this area by the Borough of Pendle, a part of Lancashire. Positioned on the lower slopes of Weets Hill in the Pennines astride the natural watershed between the Ribble and Aire valleys, Barnoldswick is the highest town on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, on the summit level of the canal in between Barrowford Locks to the south west and Greenberfield Locks just north east of the town. It is situated approximately 30 miles (48 km) from the cities of Leeds, Manchester and Preston. Close by towns include Skipton towards the east, Clitheroe to the west, Burnley towards the south and Keighley towards the southeast. Barnoldswick, with 12 letters, is one of the longest location names in the UK without any repetition of letters.
