While its value as an aspect of garden design is often neglected, fencing is a vital part of both the aesthetics and usefulness of your garden. Garden fencing is likely to differ between the front and back of properties, with higher and more tough wood fencing usually being placed in the rear garden, while the front of the house typically features more compact and more decorative fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to have a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. Also, it is often stained to enhance its ornamental effect. Fencing in the back garden is generally used for privacy and to maintain the boundaries of a garden, as well as to keep pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Due to this, these sorts of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats without gaps in between. Because of the additional height, these fences typically have concrete footings laid in between each panel to offer strength and stopping the fence from blowing over or being broken in bad weather. Garden fencing panels are generally made of wood. The posts in between the sections are produced from either wood, stone, or concrete. Recently, fence panels have started to be constructed from heavily recycled and eco friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Iona is a little island in the Inner Hebrides off the Ross of Mull on the western coast of Scotland. It is primarily recognized for Iona Abbey, though there are other structures on the island. Iona Abbey was a centre of Gaelic monasticism for 3 centuries and is today understood for its loved one harmony as well as native environment. It is a visitor location and a place for spiritual hideaways. Its contemporary Scottish Gaelic name suggests “Iona of (Saint) Columba” (previously anglicised “Icolmkill”). The island, other than the land had by the Iona Cathedral Trust, was purchased from the Duke of Argyll by Hugh Fraser in 1979 as well as contributed to the National Trust for Scotland. In 2001 Iona’s population was 125 and also by the time of the 2011 census this had actually grown to 177 normal locals.
