While its importance as an element of garden design is sometimes disregarded, fencing is a key part of both the appearance and functionality of your garden. Garden fencing will likely differ between the front and back of properties, with taller and more substantial wood fencing usually being placed in the rear garden, while the front of the property generally utilises smaller sized and more ornamental fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to have a low height and large gaps between the wooden slats. It is also often coloured to enhance its ornamental effect. Fencing in the back garden is typically used for privacy and to maintain the boundaries of a garden, as well as to keep pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. For this reason, these styles of fences are about 6 feet high and use wooden slats with no gaps in between. Due to the added height, these fences generally have concrete footings laid in between each section to offer security preventing the fence from blowing over or being broken in high winds. Garden fencing sections are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the sections are produced from either timber, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be manufactured from heavily recycled and sustainable composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Broxburn is a town in West Lothian, Scotland. It is located roughly 12 miles (19 km) to the west of Edinburgh on the A8 road, five miles (8 kilometres) from Edinburgh Airport, and towards the north of Livingston. The village that later became Broxburn probably was established around 1350 when Margery le Cheyne inherited the eastern half of the Barony of Strathbrock (Easter Strathbrock) on the death of her father, Sir Reginald le Cheyne III. The hamlet that grew around her home was then known as Eastertoun (eastern town) after the land on which it stood. In line with population estimates produced in 2006, the town has a permanent population of 14,100, which demonstrates a moderate growth from the roughly 12,900 inhabitants measured in the 2001 Census. Broxburn now has 2 separate industrial areas, the Greendykes Industrial Estate and the East Mains Industrial Estate, which offer employment for local residents. The largest employers are Campbells Prime Meat Limited, Glenmorangie and Broxburn Bottlers Limited (part of Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd). The national headquarters of Kwik-Fit, the vehicle repair company, are also found in Broxburn. The Union Canal goes through Broxburn. It is no longer in operation as a transport link, but is now utilised for fishing and leisure boating. It includes a towpath previously made use of by the horses which drew canal barges and which is now used as a footpath. Broxburn has the junior football club Broxburn Athletic. You will find sports and health facilities publicly accessible, such as a sports centre, library, swimming pool and bowling clubs. For all of your home improvement work, be sure that you employ trusted pros in Broxburn to make sure you get a good quality service.
